What You’ll Be Doing:
- Installing and configuring network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Performing network maintenance and upgrades (patches, service packs, hotfixes, security configurations)
- Monitoring system performance, availability, and capacity
- Troubleshooting ISP-level network issues using tools like Wireshark
- Leading technical planning and execution of key networking activities
- Maintaining accurate documentation using our ticketing system
- Supporting projects that enhance our Service Centre’s capabilities
- Sharing knowledge across the team (via guides, emails, and meetings)
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum
7 years' experience in core networking roles
- In-depth knowledge of
Cisco routers and switches
- Expertise in advanced troubleshooting (packet inspection, MTU/MSS, etc.)
- Proficiency with
OSPF, BGP, and load-balancing protocols (GLBP, HSRP, VRRP)
- Solid understanding of
Layer 2 technologies (RSTP, MSTP, PPPoE, REP)
- Experience with ISP-level protocols (MPLS, VPLS, XConnect, VPWS)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG
- Knowledge of various media types (Fibre, Ethernet, GPON, XGPON, CWDM, DWDM)
- Hands-on experience with
WiFi and
5GHz outdoor wireless devices
